India will attempt a crewed lunar flyby in 2028 as part of its expanded Gaganyaan program, officials announced on Thursday.
The mission will leverage the country’s new heavy-lift rocket and a next-generation crew module currently undergoing tests.
ISRO added that partnerships with other space agencies remain on the table for future landings.
